The weather and the turnout were both excellent Sunday the 21st of April for the Retro Cycle Works vintage bike ride in. An MBVMC reporter showed up with a camera and snapped a few pictures. Joe Mc Donald and Jim Downey rode from Mobile on a Honda 305 Dream and a Triumph Bonneville, respectively. Jim Scott rode his Matchless 650 twin. Kent Stocker had on display his beautifully restored knuckle head (see picture above) and Indian Chief and next to them was a barn-fresh Chief. There was a Harley Servicycle and a WLA "45". The reporter got this great shot of a pan head 74 (sorry did not get the owner's name). Of course there were choppers. This Yamaha x650 flat tracker turned some heads as did Tony Miller's Hesketh V1000. The band was good and the crowd reduced a barbequed pig to a pile of bones. Even the Russian biker enjoyed himself. All in all it was a great warmup for the Dauphin Island Show scheduled for the 4th of April.
