Pensacola's Mini Motorcycle Museum
Nothing is better than visiting a vintage motorcycle museum. Of course Barber in Birmingham is the ultimate museum experience but it is 300 miles away. However, we have a good mini museum right here on the gulf coast at Adventure Motorsports of Northwest Florida in Pensacola. The Owner, Courtney Pereira and the General Manager, Tod Shuls are both vintage bike collectors and 11 of their bikes are on display in the show room. They include: 1976 BMW R90s, 1991 BMW K1, 1967 Moto Guzzi V7, 1976 BMW R90/6, 1983 Laverda RGS 1000, 1982 Benelli Sei 900, 1972 BMW R75/5, 1973 Vespa, 1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado, and 2 BMW R50s. Come have look and while you are at it, buy a bike.
This police bike comes complete with siren. Have you seen Clint Eastwood's Magnum Force lately? It features these bikes.
This Benelli 900 Sei (Italian for six) predated the Honda CBX. The Laverda is in the background. |
Here are a pair of BMW R 50's from the 1950s. These were the touring bikes of the era. |
The K1 was BMW's first sport bike with a flat in-line 4 water-cooled motor. As funky as they come |
The R90s was the road burner of choice during the 1970's. Its distinctive paint scheme was iconic and commanded respect where ever it was seen |
Caio baby!
